The Key to Implementing Change

As presented by Dennis Daily, February 19, at the Marriott Courtyard by the Sea, and reported by David Otero, BSCLA Member

Dennis' topic was Leadership Commitment -  The Key to Implementing Change.  He started out by presenting The Boeing Management Model, which most members were familiar with.  He then went on to emphasized key concepts in the model, and expanded the model with his own enhancements.

Dennis told us about the Boeing Leadership commitment to Management Systems such as VPP, Environmental Stewardship, Lean, and others which make Boeing a desirable company in the eyes of the customers.  He went on to the climate of  change facing us in the form of reductions in force, de-scopes, of contracts, and programs disappearing and new ones coming up.

President's Message

Dear BSCLA Members - Boeing Space Coast Leadership Association's vision is to be recognized as the cornerstone of leadership and integrity by showing a strong membership force working together.  Your active participation in the chapter events is significant to this vision.

The 2009 National Management Association (NMA) theme that's guiding our activities this year is "Stepping UP to the Challenges of Leadership."  I encouraging you to take the LEADS assessment because it will help you learn how to measure up, and then set realistic goals and objectives for yourself.  The NMA LEADS is the key that can open the door to showcase your LEADERSHIP potential, and behind that door you will find BSCLA.  Keep in mind that BSCLA is a venue to grow Boeing leaders as well as to develop, challenge yourself, and connect with other motivated employees of The Boeing Company.
