Incoming President's Message

I wish to express my appreciation to all the members for their confidence in my ability to lead them at this time.

My sincere thanks go out to the immediate Past President, Kenrick Bisnath, and all the Past Presidents for their invaluable efforts of keeping BSCLA strong for 45 years.  On March 23rd we will celebrate our 45th year since establishment in 1964.

I would like to say thank you to our Executive Advisor, Kevin Hoshstrasser for continuing to be a strong advocate of BSCLA's goals and objectives.  At this time I would lie to announce to you the theme that will guide our activities this year, and it is "Stepping Up to the Challenges of Leadership."

We, as a Board are going to encourage each of you to step up to some leadership roles in Civic Activities, Professional Development, and recruiting new members.  Please feel free to send in suggestions for speakers that you would like to hear from this year, to Bryon Loveland, your Programs Director.  We as a chapter of NMA are dedicated to building strong leaders, and harnessing the leadership qualities that reside in all of us. 

As Jim Albaugh has said, "To build great teams we must have great leaders."  He said that effective leadership is the key to the success of Boeing and IDS.  That is what BSCLA is all about; it's about, developing the leader in YOU...this is our mission and our vision.

BSCLA is a venue to grow Boeing leaders, providing them with information, techniques and encouragement for dealing with their challenges, and so remember STEP UP TO THE CHALLENGE, because I know you can do it.  I look forward to serving you as the 2009 BSCLA President.   Thank You!
